I am a native of Linden, Alabama and a graduate of Linden High School class of 1990. I received my bachelor of science degree in special education from the University of West Alabama and my master of education degree in special education collaboration from Alabama State University.  In 2009, I received my masters degree in administration supervision from Alabama State. I'm currently teaching my 22nd year as an special educator. I have been at A.L. Johnson High School for the past twelve years.  I have worked with a variety of exceptionalities, working with special need children is a calling and I have and I am truly an advocate. I enjoy helping my students to become productive students.  I believe that all children can learn. Not always when they need to learn, but at some degree they can learn something. I feel it's my job to teach my students what they can learn to their highest potential.
